Nick Hawkins MA, CMF, MCIPD...
Nick studied at Clare College, Cambridge, gaining first class honours in Engineering. He later went on to the Harvard Business School in America.

The first 25 years of his career was in manufacturing industry, 22 in the family firm which is now known as Marlow Ropes, and is based at Hailsham in Sussex.

The firm was taken over in 1983 and 2 years later Nick left and joined the Career Services company, ICM CareerCare/Cressing Templar, where he worked until Christmas 2002 as Senior Consultant and Director of Training.

Internationally, Nick is a regular speaker at Conferences, and until June 2003 was UK President of ACP International (the Association of Career Professionals International). He has been re-elected to the World Council of ACP International for a further two years until 2005. He was also the UK’s first accredited Fellow (CMF) – in 1995 – of the Institute of Career Certification International (ICCI), and is now one of the ten international members of the Board of Governors of that body.

Within the Career Management field Nick’s particular expertise is in CV theory, Networking and Interview Techniques.

He has been happily married for many years with 3 married children, and 9 grandchildren, aged from 0 to 13.

When not working he plays Bridge well and golf badly but enthusiastically off a handicap of 21. As a sideline he makes video films. He is also a travel enthusiast but has not yet managed to get to Antarctica.
